THE FORGOTTEN REALMS

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS

As part of the very first ‘cross-over’, between properties, Wizards of the Coast has bridged the worlds between Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons, though by which in-world means are still unclear. The Forgotten Realms are one of the many worlds within the D&D multiverse, and within it are vast kingdoms and worlds of endless variety that rival the size and scale of even the largest planes like Dominaria.

The primary continent on ‘The Forgotten Realms’ is known as Faerûn, and the world itself is known as Toril to its inhabitants. There are “dozens of nations, hundreds of citystates, and countless tribes, villages, and settlements” within Faerûn alone, with the landmass measuring 9.5 million square miles.
