Mana Haven

Little is known about the world of Ir, beyond what is featured in Planechase and the two cards mentioning it from Future Sight and Commander. The surface of Ir is populated by a species of warlike giants with large, goat-like horns known as the Fomori who occupy a fortress known as Turri Island. Turri Island is a mana haven, and attracts planeswalkers on occasion who seek to plunder it for valuable resources. The Fomori are led by a fierce warmonger known as Ruhan, who is fond of speaking in third person.

As of Lost Caverns of Ixalan, it is now known that the Fomori were once a gigantic, inter-planar species, and those on Turri Island may only be a vestige of a settlement and not in their original home.
