the children of ramos

A world of bustling trade and wide, vast deserts and forests, Mercadia is a plane noted for its involvement in the Weatherlight storyline. Located near Dominaria in the multiverse, Mercadia is run from a city atop a gigantic, upside-down mountain, and is entirely populated by refugees of Dominaria’s early wars. The humans there are descendants of the early Thran of Halcyon, brought there by the planeswalker Dyfed, and the merfolk, elves, and other species were seeded there by the dragon engine Ramos after the events of The Brother’s War. Mercadia is in a perpetual state of unrest, home to numerous sects of rebel groups and holy orders, and generally run by an aristocracy of unusually intelligent goblins.
