Ash and Dust

Thought only to be a fun entry in the first edition of Planechase, Azgol was finally formally introduced to the multiverse during the plane-crossing event March of the Machine. Azgol is a dark, fiery world that is home to a massive supervolcano known as the Lair of the Ashen Idol. Its sky is dark grey from ash-filled air, and the Ashen Idol is the focus of worship from local planar denizens, who sacrifice their own members to it, turning them into Ashen Reapers. Ashen Reapers are a unique kind of elemental zombie that are fueled by their own hatred, growing stronger as their rage increases. The Ashen Idol is also incredibly angry and fickle, striking out with volcanic fury at any who approach it without a gift or offering.
